Virginia takes delivery of 250K COVID quick response test kits
The commonwealth of Virginia on Monday took delivery of COVID-19 test kits that will be used to help protect the state’s most vulnerable population.
Governor Ralph Northam announced the arrival of almost a quarter-million rapid antigen tests that will be distributed to 235 nursing homes in Virginia.

The supplies were purchased through the Rockefeller Foundation in a six-state bipartisan compact formed in April to help Virginia, Maryland, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, and Ohio to shorten testing times.
The CDC’s National Healthcare Safety Network reports more than 60,000 patients in long term care have died as a result of the coronavirus as of October.
