State Police reports body of dead female discovered off Interstate 77 exit in Bland County
The Virginia State Police has launched an investigation in Bland County following the discovery of human remains Thursday morning.
A report from the agency says the unattended death was reported just after 8:30 when the body of a female was found at the edge of a gravel parking lot located adjacent to a gas station just off Interstate 77’s Exit 58 in Bastian at the intersection of Arrowhead Drive and Indian Village Trail.
The body has been taken to Roanoke for an autopsy and identification.
