Virus ends Science Hill’s TSSAA playoffs and season
Confirmed cases of COVID-19 within the school have resulted in Science Hill High School withdrawing from this weekend’s first round of the TSSAA football playoffs, according to information from the Johnson City school.
The Hilltoppers were scheduled to travel to number one seed and undefeated Maryville Friday night. The no-contest also marks the end of Science Hill’s season with a final record of 7-3.
Another area team had their opening round contest impacted by the virus. In Class 4A, Greeneville advances to the second round after Howard School in Chattanooga cited COVID cases for their exit from competition.
