Wise County Sheriff’s Office looking into two “suspicious” fires to abandoned or unoccupied homes in Appalachia

Investigators in Wise County, Va are looking into two suspicious fires at homes that occurred last Sunday in Appalachia.

Lead investigator Sgt. Steve Jones says both occurred at either unoccupied or abandoned homes on Nov. 1 within the town’s perimeters. One fire happened at a home around Mouser St. and the other fire happened at a residence on 123 Brown St.
