BVPS to shift to virtual learning Nov. 30-Dec. 3
Bristol, Va Public Schools will make a brief shift to a fully virtual learning operation the week of Nov. 30.
Superintendent Dr. Keith Perrigan informed families of the change Tuesday, stating they hope the virtual week of Nov. 30-Dec. 3 will cut down on potential COVID-19 transmission that could possibly take place as a result of Thanksgiving and family gatherings related to the holiday. Dr. Perrigan also said that despite having a slight recent increase of virus cases in the system, none of those have resulted in large amounts of students and staff in quarantine.
