Washington County, Tennessee couple facing separate DUI, child neglect charges

A Washington County, Tennessee DUI case and child neglect investigation are intertwined, according to authorities.

Jennifer Rodgers, 28, was arrested and charged following the alcohol-related crash on Bob Davis Road in Gray, according to a report from Sheriff Ed Graybeal.

When officers conducted a welfare check on Rodgers’ child following the wreck, they found a 2-year-old toddler who had been sitting in a high chair for several hours at a home on Laurel Brook Court.

A man inside the house, Jacob Leonard, 27, had to be roused up by officers to be interviewed. He was subsequently charged with aggravated child abuse and neglect and simple possession.
