Spoil Sport: Burglar makes off with $1,600 in artificial turf intended for kids playground in Greeneville

Greeneville police are searching for clues after a burglar made off with materials being used to refurbish a children’s playground.

A report from the city police department says the owner of the construction service returned to the worksite located at Hardin Park off Crescent Drive one morning this week and discovered nearly 200 square feet of artificial turf was stolen.

The victim estimated the loss at $1,600.
