Russell Co. Public Schools moving to 100% online learning the week after Thanksgiving
Another Southwest Virginia school system is hoping to prevent a post Thanksgiving COVID-19 outbreak as it has decided to go fully virtually the week after the holiday.
Russell County Public Schools will move all classes online the week of Nov. 30- Dec. 4, and that decision received approval from school board members after consultation with regional health leaders. The school system plans to have in-person classes return the following Monday, Dec. 7.
Bristol, Va Public Schools also announced they would go virtual after Thanksgiving in an effort to try and prevent a virus outbreak within their district.
