UPDATE: Elizabethton police secure warrants for suspect in July hit-and-run
Warrants have been secured for an Elizabethton woman wanted in connection with a summertime hit and run that left one person injured.

A report from the city police department said they are trying to locate Savanna Leigh Cable who is charged with aggravated assault, tampering with evidence, and leaving the scene of an accident.

The original incident took place on July 23 in the vicinity of Hardee’s on Broad Street where the victim was seriously injured when he was struck in the center turn lane while trying to cross the roadway. Eyewitnesses said the driver who struck the victim was driving a black Toyota Rav4 SUV.
