Virginia Governor Says Its Time To Legalize Marijuana In Commonwealth

Virginia Governor Ralph Northam says it’s time to legalize marijuana in Virginia. Monday’s announcement comes on the heels of the House of Delegates announcement it believes they will pass the measure when they reconvene in January. Northam went on to say the Commonwealth has an opportunity to be the first state in the South to take this step and will focus on equity, public health, and public safety. The Governor signed legislation this year that decriminalizes simple possession of pot in Virginia.
