Southwest Virginia Man Dies In Single Vehicle Crash

A southwest Virginia man is dead after a single vehicle crash over the weekend. According to Virginia State Police, 44 year old Michael S. Melvin of Tazewell, Virginia was killed early Saturday morning when the 2011 Suzuki Equator pickup truck ran off the right side of Route 61, Gratton Road, near Route 19 Business and struck an embankment. Melvin was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene of the crash.
