Dickenson County Schools moving to virtual classes Nov. 23-Dec. 4
Dickenson County, VA Schools are falling in line with more Southwest Virginia systems in moving to virtual learning ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday break.
The district announced Wednesday that all students would head to complete remote instruction starting Nov. 23 through Dec. 4, with that decision coming amid growing cases of COVID-19. Superintendent Haydee Robinson also included in the news release that if COVID cases drop to allow them to return to hybrid learning, they would follow through with that plan beginning Dec. 7.
The level of virus spread also hinges on a possible decision to return to four day in-person learning instruction to start the second semester.
