KPD: Suspicious death under investigation after body located alongside the road Tuesday morning

Police in Kingsport are investigating a suspicious death after finding a body on the side of the roadway Tuesday morning.

Preliminary information from authorities say they located a deceased individual on Lynn Garden Dr. near the W. Stone Dr. interchange just before 8:00 a.m. The discovery is under investigation by the Kingsport Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division and the body has been sent for an autopsy.
