Ballad: COVID-19 cluster identified at Wexford House in Kingsport

Ballad Health is reporting a COVID-19 cluster at the Wexford House in Kingsport.

Ballad announced Tuesday during their weekly media briefing that they have identified 36 team members and 52 residents that have tested positive for coronavirus at the short and long term rehab facility.

Ballad says those residents who have tested positive are either in isolation in a portion of the building or are being transferred for higher levels of care at Holston Valley Medical Center. Team members that are showing symptoms of COVID-19 are quarantining at home according to Ballad.

Any further admissions to the Wexford House have also been halted at this time.
