Report: Bluff City couple trying to retrieve dog threatened by neighbor with rifle

A Bluff City man was jailed Friday after threatening his neighbors with a weapon.

Travis Jones, 36, is accused of pointing a rifle at a couple that had come on to his property on Beaver Creek Road to retrieve their dog and reportedly told them he was going to shoot, according to a report from the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office.

Jones was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault and is housed in the county jail in Blountville.
