Virginia’s Ninth District Congressman Supports Medical Marijuana Research Act

Ninth District Republican U.S. Congressman Morgan Griffith spoke Wednesday on the House floor and told fellow lawmakers you can’t make a for or against decision when it comes to medical marijuana without the science data to back it up. The House passed the measure Wednesday after a long road through Congress. The Medical Marijuana Research Act would ensure a supply of marijuana for research purposes through the National Institute on Drug Abuse Drug Supply Program. Congressman Griffith was an original co-sponsor of the bill.
