State Police report fatality following single vehicle crash in Tazewell County
A Tazewell County, Virginia driver was killed late Monday in a single-vehicle crash, according to State Police.
A trooper arrived on the scene just after 9 pm in the 4100 block of Red Root Ridge Road in the Raven community. There, they found the wrecked pickup truck of Richard L. Johnson, 50, of Raven.
A preliminary crash report said Johnson was traveling northbound when his truck went off the right side of the road and struck a tree. Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene.
