LENOWISCO Health District issues health violation notice to Town of Pound, Va for alleged health violations during Christmas Parade
The Town of Pound, VA has been issued a health violation notice from the LENOWISCO Health District in regards to its Christmas Parade earlier this month.
The health department’s Environmental Health Manager Brad Stallard said in the letter that Pound failed to follow executive order 67 outlined by Gov. Ralph Northam during its parade after staff members of the health district observed photos from the parade showing crowds of people likely not from the same family gathering without masks and social distancing.
The notice recommends the town to not hold any future mass gathering events, or if a similar event is planned, it must strictly adhere to current health guidelines. The town did not receive any misdemeanor charges for the alleged violations, but could if violations continue, according to the letter.
