Sullivan Woman Arrested In Connection To Boyfriend’s Death

A Sullivan County woman is jailed Monday after being arrested for the second degree murder of her boyfriend after an incident Sunday night. Sullivan County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a 911 call from 341 Warren Road in Piney Flats in reference to a shooting. The caller identified herself as 48 year old Teresa Sherrill. Sherrill stated her boyfriend, 71 year old John Sherrill had attacked her and she had shot him. Deputies discovered John Sherrill deceased and appeared to have both knife and gunshot wounds. Warrants were obtained and Teresa Sherrill was charged and arrested on second degree murder charges. Sherrill is being held in the Sullivan County Jail on a ten thousand dollar bond.
