Tazewell County Man Dies In Single Vehicle Crash In Smyth County, Virginia

A Tazewell County, Virginia man is dead Tuesday following a single vehicle crash that occurred Monday evening in Smyth County. According to Virginia State Police, 42 year old Chancy L. Sutherland of Cedar Bluff, Virginia, was driving a 2002 Ford Ranger pickup truck when it left the roadway and struck at church located on Matson Drive. The vehicle came to a stop inside the church. Sutherland was not wearing a seatbelt. No One was inside the church at the time of the crash which remains under investigation.
