School Officials In Buchanan County Vote In Favor Of Consolidation Of Several Schools

The Buchanan County School Board voted 4-2 in favor of a resolution Tuesday night calling for the consolidation of Grundy, Hurley, and Twin Valley High Schools at Southern Gap. Many of the parents addressed long bus routes that would result due to the consolidation. There were parents in attendance who spoke in favor of the measure. At least one member of the Board of Supervisors says he will file papers in court to prevent the consolidation from taking place.
