Sullivan County Health Department Asking For Public’s Patients While Vaccine Supplies Run Short
The Sullivan County Regional Health Department is asking for the public’s patients while the health care facility is experiencing extremely high call volumes at the Blountville office. The health department is beginning to vaccinate those individuals 75 years old or older, by appointment. And that is where the problem exists. So many people are calling the department for an appointment that the phone system is being overloaded. Current vaccine supply is also limited making things worse. The health department says it will notify the public when it receives more information and additional vaccine in stock. Sullivan County is expected to receive additional vaccine supplies on Wednesday.
