Bustin’ through: Johnson City Jeep owner refuses to pay tow bill, drives through lot gates

Police did not have to look far for the suspect who busted through the gate of a Johnson City towing service.

A report issued by the JCPD says a Jeep Wrangler owned by Colby Clark was towed away on the night of Dec. 29 to All Hours Towing located on East Millard Street.

Clark, 18, had told the crew that he was not paying the bill for the tow and reportedly went to the lot, got his Jeep, and then drove through the locked gate just after 3 am on Dec. 30th.

Officers found the Jeep parked at Clark’s registered home address a short time later. Police said he turned himself in this week and he was charged with burglary, theft of services, and vandalism.
