Sheriff: Three people in jail following Sunday night pursuit in Washington County, VA

Three individuals have been arrested in connection to a Sunday night police pursuit in Southwest Virginia.

Bristol, VA Police say the chase began in the city late Sunday and continued into the county. Washington County, VA Sheriff Blake Andis said deputies pursued the suspects until they reportedly abandoned their vehicle at Fleenors Memorial Rd.

Sheriff Andis told us one unidentified suspect was arrested early Monday morning. A man and pregnant woman, wanted by the Sheriff’s Office, were taken into custody Monday around 9:30 a.m.

They were identified as Cody Keith and Ashley Lynne Worley. The charges the three are facing, and the cause of the pursuit have not yet been released. All three were taken to the Southwest VA Regional Jail.
