Performance Awards Given to Southwest Virginia Schools

16 schools in Southwest Virginia have been listed on the 2018 Index of Performance awards for advanced learning and education benchmarks.

They are part of 300 chosen statewide according to a report from the Board of Education. Those receiving the Board of Education Excellence Awards include:

Wise Central High School and Eastside High- Wise County
High Point and Watauga Elementary- Washington County
Weber City Elementary- Scott County
Belfast Elk Garden Elementary- Russell County
