Smyth County Schools to return to in-person learning on Feb. 1

Smyth County, VA School students that have selected an in-person learning option will head back to the classroom in a hybrid format starting Feb. 1.
An approved plan from the district school board has all students attending in a hybrid format through Feb. 19. The week after, PreK-3 students are planning to transition to four days of in-person classes while the rest of the grades stay on hybrid learning.
The first week of March is set to expand the four days of classes to all students expect high school learners, with March 8 till further notice potentially seeing the return of all grade students learning face-to-face four days a week.
