Investigators: Two suspects dragged dog behind vehicle in Sullivan County parking lot

A dog is being treated for severe injuries after Sullivan County investigators say two suspects dragged the animal behind a vehicle in a church parking lot.

A report from Sheriff Jeff Cassidy said the incident took place Jan. 28 at Gospel Mission Church on Lone Star Road in the Conkintown area in Kingsport.

The two suspects were in a white four-door sedan and the episode was captured by the church’s video surveillance cameras.

The dog was discovered by church members the next evening and was taken to a local vet office.
