Four people charged in case of abandoned dead body on Highway 70 Bypass in Greeneville
Local and state investigators said Thursday four people have been charged after they said the suspects abandoned a dead body alongside a Greene County highway last month.
Terance Clark, 38; Patricia Graham, 42; Justin Tollett, 44; and, Jennifer Clark, 45, are all charged with tampering with evidence, abuse of a corpse, and failure to report a death, according to Sheriff Wesley Holt.
Andrew Davenport, 32, of Greeneville, was found dead inside a vehicle on Jan. 23. The sheriff reported that autopsy results for Davenport to reveal his cause of death are still pending but an investigation conducted with the TBI showed the four people transported the body to a spot near the Highway 70 Bypass and left it inside the car.
Clark and Tollett have been arrested and charged while police are still searching for Clark and Graham.
