Sullivan County BOE votes to increase capacity for indoor sporting events

Attendance for indoor sporting events at Sullivan County Schools has received approval to increase to one-third capacity.

School board members unanimously approved a recommendation from Director Dr. David Cox Thursday night to expand capacity for events from only four family members per student athlete to around 33% capacity.

The change comes following TN Gov. Bill Lee’s lifting of attendance restrictions, while the school system stays in line with TSSAA attendance capacity recommendations.
