VDH: Three UK COVID variant cases reported in Southwest Virginia
Three COVID-19 UK variant cases have been identified in Southwest Virginia.
State health officials say three adult samples of the B.1.1.7 variant were identified on Saturday, despite the individuals having no travel history. The cases have been investigated along with their close contacts.
The B.1.1.7 variant was first reported late last year in the UK.
