Severe weather awareness week currently underway in Tennessee

Severe weather awareness week is underway in Tennessee.

The Tennessee Emergency Management Agency and National Weather Services offices across the state are participating and will offer free online classes throughout the week to educate the public on topics like the dangers of flooding and tornadoes, and how to properly prepare for these weather events.

This week also marks one year since a deadly tornado outbreak in Middle TN spawned 15 tornadoes that left 25 dead.
