Griffith Optimistic Vaccine Companies Will Meet Biden’s Vaccine Challenge
Ninth District Virginia Congressman Morgan Griffith says he is optimistic representatives of companies developing COVID-19 vaccines will meet the challenge of producing a hundred million doses in President Biden’s first one hundred days of office…and the U.S could end up with a vaccine surplus. Griffith made the comments in a weekly newsletter to the ninth district and went on to say he remains optimistic Pfizer, Moderna and now Johnson and Johnson as well as Astra Zenica and Novavax have pledged to produce enough of the sirum to vaccinate 400 million people by July. That figure easily exceeds the population of the United States at 260 million people. Representatives of the companies producing the vaccines agree it is plausible for the United States to end up with a surplus that can be used to assist other countries still trying to secure enough vaccine.
