Johnson City Man Sentenced For Role In Medicare And Medicaid Fraud Case
A Johnson City man is sentenced to three years in federal prison for his role in a health care fraud case involving his former Toxicology lab operation. 59 year old Michael Dube of Johnson City previously pleaded guilty in Abingdon on two felony counts of health care fraud. Dube took advantage of health care funds, aimed at helping the most vulnerable says Acting United States Attorney Danile P. Bubar. Dube and his wife Regan established American Toxicology Labs in Johnson City and applied to participate in Medicare and Medicaid after he was excluded from participating in any federal health care program. As a result of the conviction Regan and Michael Dube will also pay a total of more than nine million dollars, plus interest and will repay all the money they received from Medicare and Medicaid.
