Sullivan Co. Schools to negotiate contract with former director Evelyn Rafalowski to return to position on interim basis

A familiar face to the Sullivan County school system could be returning to her former role.

The board of education during a meeting last night voted 6-0, with one member abstaining, to enter into contract negotiations with Evelyn Rafalowski to take over as Director of Schools on an interim basis.

Rafalowski previously served as Director of Schools from 2015-19 before retiring. Dr. David Cox, who took over for Rafalowski, is retiring from the position later this year.
