Virginia United States Senator Mark Warner Assists Introduction of Student Loan Relief

Democratic United States Senator Mark Warner of Virginia is helping introduce legislation to stimulate the economy and allow borrowers to get a better handle on their student debt during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond. Student debt in the United States has surpassed one point seven trillion dollars. Warner says in addition, the legislation will give student borrowers a real shot at paying back their debt and in the near future be able to invest in a home, start a business or save for retirement. The Coronavirus Emergency Student Loan Refinancing Act of 2021 will allow student borrowers to refinance their federal student loan and give borrowers the option to refinance their federal student loans at lower interest rates.
