Severe Weather Awareness Week now underway across Virginia
Severe weather awareness week is underway in Virginia.
The Virginia Dept. of Emergency Management along with National Weather Service offices across the state will be participating and will inform the public each day throughout the week about the dangers associated with severe weather.
The topics for this year’s week includes receiving emergency warnings, tornadoes, severe thunderstorms, flash flooding, and lightning. The Virginia statewide tornado drill is scheduled for Tuesday morning at 9:45 a.m.
