UPDATE: Kingsport man set for arraignment on charge of killing his mother

A Sullivan County, Tennessee man accused of killing his mother is scheduled for arraignment on Thursday.

Emmett Kimberlin, 33, is making his first court appearance since his arrest for the April 2nd shooting death of Angela Kimberlin, 52, who was found on the front lawn of her home in the 400 block of Hooven Street. He was found later in the day and charged with first-degree murder.

Sheriff Jeff Cassidy said a domestic argument preceded the incident. Witnesses said they saw Kimberlin driving out of the neighborhood shortly after the shooting. Police said there had been previous visits by deputies to the home.
