UPDATE: Lynchburg man found guilty of shooting rifle into Norton home to serve 3 years
The lone suspect in an October shooting incident in Norton was sentenced to serve three years in prison on Monday in Wise County Circuit Court.
Manuel Soto, 27, of Lynchburg, Virginia was found guilty on two counts of attempted murder, destruction of property, and discharge of a gun into an occupied dwelling, according to Commonwealth’s Attorney Chuck Slemp.
Police said Soto fired several rounds from a rifle into a home on Gardner Hollow Road. He later told investigators that the people who lived there had disrespected him.
