Pound Town Council approves plans to solve police evidence room issues
Pound’s Town Council has approved hiring a part-time chief of police and an outside forensic expert to examine its evidence room.
The council agreed to have an evidence expert from Fairfax County spend the weekend organizing inventory in the evidence room, and follows after the town voted to disband its police department last week.
Also approved was the hiring of Bristol, Virginia Police Officer Chris Wilcox as part-time chief of police through June 30, and part of his responsibilities will include holding the key to the evidence room after the Fairfax County evidence expert finishes their work.
