One dead, one injured after SUV collides with farm tractor on Highway 93 near Kingsport

One person is dead and another was injured following a collision between an SUV and a tractor Monday morning in Sullivan County.

A preliminary report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol says Lori Jones, 40, of Kingsport, died from her injuries sustained in the wreck that occurred in the vicinity of Sullivan Gardens Road and Rock Springs Drive just after 8:30.

Both vehicles were traveling northbound on Highway 93 when Jones’ SUV slammed into the back of the farm tractor, injuring David Ramey, 51, of Gate City.
