Johnson City man charged with murder following shooting at convenience store
A disagreement at a Johnson City convenience store led to a shooting early Monday.
Police said Joshua Alexander, 22, died from a gunshot wound to the chest following the incident at Roadrunner Market at 607 Twin Oaks Drive just before 3 am.
Preliminary details released by the JCPD said Alexander had met Randy R. Canter, also of Johnson City, in the parking lot to discuss property that had been stolen from Canter when the argument escalated.
Canter, 23, is charged with second-degree murder and will be arraigned in Washington County Sessions Court.
