Armed and dangerous suspect captured in Southwest Virginia

A man wanted for attempted murder in West Virginia has been captured in Southwest Virginia.

William Daniel McGuire is now being held in the New River Valley Regional Jail awaiting extradition.

McGuire had been on the run for almost a week and was described as armed and dangerous following an incident in Monroe County, West Virginia. He was also charged with malicious wounding and domestic battery.
