Police: Suspect with dead body inside car arrested in Carter County

A man suspected of transporting a dead body over state lines was captured in Carter County, Tennessee.

A report from Sheriff Dexter Lunceford’s office says Michael Louis Cadogan, 24, is charged with abuse of a corpse in Tennessee and is facing potential homicide charges in High Point, North Carolina.

Police from the Tar Heel State contact Carter County about a driver potentially carrying the remains of 19-year-old Gianna Rose Delgado into their jurisdiction.

Officers obtained a search warrant and found Delgado’s body inside.
