Fireworks planned in Abingdon and Unicoi

Two localities in the Mountain Empire are prepping for their Independence Day celebrations. The town of Abingdon announces they will be having a fireworks exhibition for the summer holiday. This event is free for everyone. Families can see the fireworks display at Latture Field on July 3rd at around 9:45 PM.

Along with Abingdon, the town of Unicoi is hosting their annual “Freedom Fest” on July 4th. This event includes food vendors, two live bands, and a fireworks show to end the night. Freedom Fest kicks off at 5 PM at Unicoi Elementary on July 4th.
