Ballad Health, Sullivan County Schools holding back-to-school health screenings
Ballad Health, in partnership with Sullivan County Schools, is holding numerous child health screenings in preparation for the upcoming school year. All services will be provided at Sullivan Central Middle School. Ballad Pediatrics will be offering full, comprehensive check-ups for free to children under TennCare. Any student needing a sports physical can also receive one at this event. Parents of children not under TennCare may be charged a fee for sports physicals. Parents are asked to call Ballad Health to make appointments for these services.
Any child attending Sullivan County Schools, regardless of insurance provider, can receive a free dental screening at this event. No appointment is necessary for this screening. Second Harvest Food Bank will be distributing food boxes. The first 1600 students at this event will receive a backpack filled with school supplies. Families are asked to remain in their cars with the exception of one parent for each child being seen. Face coverings are required for everyone. All screenings take place on July 31st at Sullivan Central Middle School, formerly Sullivan Central High School from 1 to 4 PM.
Those who have questions or wish to make an appointment may call Ballad Health Pediatrics at 423-224-3933.
