Suspect in custody following shooting in Telford

A suspect wanted for shooting in Washington County, Tennessee led officers on a chase for several miles before he was apprehended in neighboring Greene County.

Sheriff Ed Graybeal says Jonathan R. Hughes, 22, is charged with aggravated assault, felony evading arrest, and possession of meth after detectives said he shot Jason Phillips, 37, in the leg on Leona Road in Telford. Phillips is listed in stable condition.

Hughes is being held without bond.
