Two Occupants Escape Early Sunday Morning Blaze That Destroys Abingdon Home
Two occupants were lucky to escape injuries early Sunday morning after raging fire destroys an Abingdon home. The Abingdon Fire Department responded to the blaze at the 19000 block of Spoon Gap Road and found the home consumed by heavy fire coming from the single family dwelling. The two occupants of the home managed to exit the structure fire safely. However, three vehicles, parked outside the home received significant fire damage. One firefighter was transported to Johnston Memorial Hospital for treatment of non life threatening injuries. The cause of the 441 Sunday morning blaze is not known at this time and remains under investigation.
