Sullivan County officers find child porn on Blountville resident’s computer

A Blountville resident was taken into custody after Sullivan County investigators found child pornography on his home computer.

Laborne Waltrip, 62, is charged with seven counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. Sheriff’s office personnel was able to trace the illegal activity based on the IP address of Waltrip’s computer.

Officers were tipped off about Waltrip’s explicit downloads by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
