Senators Kaine and Warner submit two candidates for federal judge’s seat in SW Virginia
US Senators Mark Warner and Tim Kaine have given two recommendations to President Biden for the next judge for US District Court in Southwest Virginia with James P. Jones assuming senior status later this month.
One candidate is Magistrate Judge Robert Ballou whose has resided over proceedings since 2011 and has 23 years of private practice on his resume.
The other is Juval Scott, a current federal public defender who also has experience in Wisconsin and Indiana in representing hundreds of indigent clients.
