Tweetsie Trail bridge in Elizabethton closed for repairs; set to reopen Aug. 13

A bridge on the Tweetsie Trail is set to open back up this week after being closed for repairs. The 10-mile trail connects Johnson City and Elizabethton along what used to be a railroad. Bridge number seven, located near the corner of West G Street and Gap Creek Road in Elizabethton has been closed all week while crews work to repair structural damage. The bridge is expected to open back to the public on Friday, August 13th.
